Monthly Aatlas Giveaway — Official Rules

1. Who runs it. The giveaway is run by Aatlas, Inc. ("Aatlas," "we," "us"), Oakland, California. Have any questions? You can write to us at support@aatlas.com.

2. What it is. Each month, we give one free Aatlas to a story nominated on aatlas.com/nominate. This is a giveaway chosen by us, based on the nominations themselves. It is not a lottery or a random drawing.

3. Who can enter. The giveaway is open to anyone 18 or older, anywhere in the world. It is void where prohibited by law. People who work for Aatlas, and the people who live with them, can't enter.

4. Who you can nominate. Anyone whose life story should be kept: someone living, someone who has died, or yourself. The person you nominate doesn't need to know about the nomination, and they don't need an email address.

5. How to enter. Fill in the form at aatlas.com/nominate. Entry is free. You can nominate as many different people as you like, one form per person. If several people nominate the same person, we read the nominations together; more nominations for one person do not count as more chances.

6. Monthly periods. Each month runs from the first day to the last day of the month, ending at 11:59 pm Pacific Time. The first period runs from October 12, 2026 to October 31, 2026. A nomination stays in the running for 12 months from the day it arrives, so you don't need to send it again.

7. How we choose. In the first 10 days of each month, Logan Ray, Aatlas's founder, reads the nominations from the period just ended (and those still in the running) and chooses one. He looks at:

• how clearly the nomination shows who the person is and why their story should be kept, and
• whether there are people ready to gather it: you, and others who know them.

Fame, wealth and writing skill don't count. We don't judge whose life matters more; every life holds stories worth keeping. Our decision is final. If we receive no nominations we can use in a month, we may not give an Aatlas that month.

8. What you receive. One Aatlas (retail value $99). We'll email you a code that covers its full price. You decide who starts the Aatlas: you, or someone closer to their story. The Aatlas is meant for the person you nominated. It has no cash value, can't be exchanged for money or sold, and can't be swapped for a different prize. If we can't deliver it for a reason outside our control, we may give something of equal or greater value.

9. How we tell you. We'll email the person who sent the chosen nomination, from support@aatlas.com, within 10 days of the end of the period. Please reply within 14 days. If we don't hear back, or the email can't be delivered, we may choose another nomination. We'll never ask for your password or card details by email. An email asking for those isn't from us.

10. If you'd rather not, or they'd rather not. You can turn the gift down at any time before you claim it, and we'll choose another nomination. If you know the person you nominated (or, if they've died, the people who keep their story) would rather not have an Aatlas, tell us and we'll respect that.

11. Making it public. You never have to make the Aatlas public. If you'd like to later, you can ask us, and we review every request, as we do for any Aatlas. Choosing to keep it private has no effect on the gift.

12. Names and publicity. We will not publish your name, the name of the person you nominated, or anything you wrote without asking you first. If we'd like to share anything that names the person you nominated, we will also ask for that separately.

13. Your privacy. What you send is handled as our Privacy Policy describes. We use it only to run this giveaway and to write to you about it. We don't contact the person you nominate. Nominations that aren't chosen are deleted 12 months after they arrive.

14. What you're confirming. By entering, you confirm that what you wrote is true to the best of your knowledge and that you're comfortable with us reading it. Please don't include anything the person you nominated would consider private, like health details, unless you believe they'd be comfortable with it.

15. Pausing or ending it. We may pause, change or end the giveaway at any time. If we do, we'll update this page, and any gift we've already told someone about will still be given.

16. The law. These rules are governed by the laws of the State of California. Taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the person who receives the gift.
